DANIEL J. GENTER

President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Genter is President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, and the Chairman of both the Executive Management and Investment Policy Committees. Mr. Genter joined Genter Capital Management in 1979 with a background in macro economic research. He became Vice President in 1983 and had direct responsibility for the majority of the firm‘s institutional client relationships. He became a Principal of the firm in 1984. As Senior Vice President in 1985, his responsibilities were further expanded to include general managerial duties for the firm’s daily operations. In 1992, he assumed his present position. Mr. Genter earned a B.S. from the University of Southern California.

MANUEL A. GUTIERREZ, CMA

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Gutierrez is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the Executive Management and Brokerage Oversight Committees. Before joining Genter Capital Management in 1984, Mr. Gutierrez was a CPA and Senior Staff Member in the Audit Division at Arthur Andersen & Company. He also served as both Vice President and Treasurer of Asia Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of US Industries, N.Y. Mr. Gutierrez earned a B.S.C. from the Philippine College of Commerce and attended the La Salle Graduate School of Business. Additionally, Mr. Gutierrez is a Certified Management Accountant, and an active member of both the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the California Society of CPAs.

TIMOTHY J. DEMSHKI

Senior Vice President, Director of Private Client Division

Mr. Demshki is Senior Vice President, Director of Private Client Division, and a member of the Executive Management Committee. Mr. Demshki joined Genter Capital Management in 1995 with over 15 years of industry experience. He began his financial services career in 1980 with Coldwell Banker where he became Vice President. He then joined Sanford C. Bernstein & Company as a Financial Advisor. Mr. Demshki earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.

BRIAN L. ELLIOTT

Senior Vice President, Director of Institutional Division

Mr. Elliott is Senior Vice President, Director of Institutional Division and a member of the Executive Management Committee. He currently has over 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Genter Capital  in 2011, he worked at Northern Trust where he was Senior Vice President, Foundation & Institutional Advisors responsible for the sales and marketing for investment management, advisory, and asset servicing services. Before Northern Trust, Mr. Elliott was Chief Marketing Officer for Kayne Anderson Rudnick and Vice President Managed Accounts at Alliance Bernstein. Mr. Elliott earned a B.A. in Economics and History from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.

JOHN BARRY

Senior Vice President, Operations
 

Mr. Barry is Senior Vice President, Operations, and a member of the Executive Management and Brokerage Oversight Committees. He began his career in 1989 with Great Western Bank and was promoted to the Financial Securities division, where he generalized in fund administration and specialized in executive stock options and account adjustments. He went on to manage Internet trading and web development teams for a Los Angeles-based brokerage firm, then assumed direction of the firm’s correspondent clearing department. In 2003 he joined Genter in Operations, eventually managing RNC’s growing SMA department. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2011, Vice President in 2013, First Vice President in 2017, and his current role in 2021.

 

ALEXANDER J. HALL, CFA

Senior Vice President, Director of Taxable Fixed Income

Mr. Hall is Senior Vice President, Director of Taxable Fixed Income, a member of the Executive Committee, and a member of the Investment Policy committee. Mr. Hall joined Genter Capital Management in 1994 and specializes in taxable fixed income securities. He was promoted to Portfolio Manager in 1998, Vice President in 2000 and First Vice President in 2009. Prior to Genter Capital, he was an Accountant with Sovereign/Ring Management. Mr. Hall earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles.

DAVID W. PESCHERINE, CFA

Senior Vice President, Director of Equity Research

Mr. Pescherine is Senior Vice President, Director of Equity Research, and a member of the Executive Management, Equity Strategy, and Investment Policy Committees. He joined Genter Capital Management in 2006 as Vice President, Securities Analyst. Prior to joining RNC Genter, David served as a sell side analyst with Citigroup in San Francisco. During his six year tenure, he lead the research group that specialized in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), part of the technology sector. Prior to his tenure at Citigroup he worked for First Union Bank in New Jersey and PepsiCo. Mr. Pescherine earned his M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.S. from Penn State University. Additionally, he is a CFA charter holder.

BRIAN J. PYTLEWSKI

Senior Vice President, Director of Municipal Fixed Income
 

Mr. Pytlewski is Senior Vice President, Director of Municipal Fixed Income, and a member of the Investment Policy Committee. He began his investment career in 1994 as an Investment Executive with Piper Jaffray & Company focusing on high net worth clients. He joined Genter Capital Management in 1999 as a Portfolio Manager Assistant. He was then promoted to Portfolio Manager in 2001, specializing in tax exempt fixed income securities. He was promoted again in 2003 to Vice President, to First Vice President in 2009, and to Senior Vice President in 2016. Mr. Pytlewski earned a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University located in California.

 

PAUL M. RYAN

First Vice President, Portfolio Manager
 

Mr. Ryan is First Vice President, Portfolio Manager specializing in tax exempt fixed income securities. Mr. Ryan joined Genter Capital Management in 2001 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager for taxable fixed income accounts. He began his career in the capital markets with Reuters America, Inc., providing sales support and client service for an array of different market data products. In 1993, he joined Financial Information Network, Inc. as a Fixed Income Specialist. Since joining Genter in 2001, Mr. Ryan has received a series of promotions, culminating in his current position. Mr. Ryan earned a B.A. in Political Science/Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles and an MBA at Claremont Graduate University’s Drucker School of Management.

 
 

RAJIV VYAS, CFA, CMT

Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Research
 

Mr. Vyas is Senior Vice President, Director of Credit Research in the Fixed Income Department where he is responsible for conducting municipal and corporate research analysis, and is a member of the Investment Policy Committee. Prior to Genter, Mr. Vyas was a credit analyst at Aviva Investors where he primarily covered taxable municipals and foreign banks and at Wilmington Trust (formerly MTB Investment Advisors) covering municipal bonds both investment grade and high yield as well as corporate bonds in the TMT sectors. Additionally, Mr. Vyas has worked as an equity analyst and a journalist covering business, finance and investments where he won a SABEW’s Best in Business Award and a Certificate of Merit. Mr. Vyas earned a Bachelors of Commerce from Mumbai University and M.S. in Banking & Financial Services Management from Boston University. Mr. Vyas is a CFA and CMT Charterholder as well as a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles, the Market Technicians Association (MTA), and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA).

Mr. Elliott is Senior Vice President, Director of Institutional Division and a member of the Executive Management Committee. He currently has over 25 years of industry experience. CAMERON LAVEY

First Vice President, Product Manager

Mr. Lavey joined Genter Capital Management in 2010 as Vice President, Product Manager. He began his career in financial services as an Equity Research Analyst for Standard and Poor’s, where he was the lead analyst for the health care facilities sector. While at S&P, he initiated coverage of 25 companies and was featured in numerous financial publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and PBS’ Nightly Business Report. He then joined ING as a Senior Investment Analyst responsible for manager research and selection for ING’s Advisors Network. Subsequent to ING, he performed a similar role within manager research at UBS in their private wealth management division. Mr. Lavey earned a B.S. in mathematics from UCLA and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Southern California.

MARK BAGDON, CIMA®, AAMS®

Senior Vice President, Director of National Accounts

Mr. Bagdon is Senior Vice President and Director of National Accounts. Mark joined Genter Capital after spending more than a decade working in sales distribution at Invesco.  Most recently, he served as a Senior Strategic Account Manager where he was responsible for developing and managing key wealth management home office relationships. Before starting his financial services career on the Retirement Plan sales team at John Hancock, Mark spent time working in the sports industry. He earned a B.S. in Business Management from Villanova University. Mark is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS), and holds FINRA Licenses 6, 7, 63, and 65.

ROBERT HUNT CIMC®, CIMA®

Senior Vice President Director National Primerica

Mr. Hunt is the Senior Vice President and National Director for Primerica in the Institutional Division. He joined Genter Capital Management in 2012 and has almost 30 years of investment management experience. Mr. Hunt has been a regional and national speaker, currently presenting CE courses for CPAs and CFPs. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. Hunt was a Vice President at Upromise where he was an industry leader in educating financial advisors on benefits and usages of 529 Plans, with an emphasis on the wealth management benefits for advisors’ high net worth clients. As a Senior Vice President at Phoenix Investment Partners and Vice President at Kayne Anderson Rudnick, Mr. Hunt was responsible for client service covering an eight to twelve state region. He assisted consultants in managing separately managed accounts for both institutional and high net worth clients. Mr. Hunt began his financial services career in 1985 as a broker with E.F. Hutton. Mr. Hunt holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. He maintains both CIMC and CIMA designations.

PETER WALKER, CIMA®, AIF, CAIA®

Senior Vice President Northern Region Director

Mr. Walker is Senior Vice President and Director of the Northern Region. Peter has over 20 years of industry sales and sales management experience. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Peter spent over 14 years at AMG Funds. Prior to AMG Peter worked at Alliance Capital and Phoenix Investment Partners. Peter earned a B.A. from University of Vermont. Peter is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and holds FINRA Licenses 6, 7, 63, 65 and 24.

CHRISTIAN KRAUS

Vice President Southern Region Director Consultant Relations

Mr. Kraus is Vice President and Director of the Southern Region and Consultant Relations. He brings his 18 years of experience in the financial field to Genter Capital Management. Prior to joining Genter Capital in 2014, Christian worked at BNY ConvergEx Group, LLC for 14 years as Senior Vice President where he was responsible for institutional sales of global transition management and discounted brokerage services to large public pensions, corporate, insurance, foundations, endowments and consulting firms within Canada and the eastern U.S. Mr. Kraus earned a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University and holds FINRA Licenses 7, 63, and 24.

JACOB WOOD CIMC®, CIMA®

Vice President Pacific Coast Region Director

Mr. Wood is Vice President and Director of the Pacific Coast Region. Jacob has over 20 years of industry sales experience. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Jacob spent 3 years with Wilshire Associates as a senior associate marketing to a 25 state territory. Jacob also spent 2 years with Cetera Financial Group where he was awarded an honorable mention as a top consultant. Most notably Jacob spent 13 years with Smith Barney and then Morgan Stanley receiving several awards recognizing outstanding achievement. Jacob earned a B.A. from Southern Methodist University. Jacob is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and holds FINRA Licenses 7, 63, and 65.

BRENDAN GLEASON

Vice President, Mountain Region Director

Mr. Gleason is Vice President and Director of the Mountain Region. He joined Genter Capital Management in 2010, after working at Dimensional Fund Advisors for nearly five years. Mr. Gleason started at Genter Capital in the Private Client Division as a Marketing Assistant, then was promoted to Marketing Associate shortly thereafter, and in August of 2012 was promoted to Internal Advisory Consultant. He has since been promoted to his current position.

MEIWAH WONG

Assistant Vice President, Western Region Director for Primerica

Ms. Wong is the National Internal Consultant for Primerica in the Institutional Division. She joined Genter Capital Management in 2010 as a PARs Marketing Specialist, then as a Marketing Associate responsible for RFPs/DDQs, Performance Reporting as well as marketing materials and conferences. Since then she has been promoted to her current position. Prior to Genter Capital Management, Ms. Wong was in sales and marketing (both U.S. and International) in various industries in addition to three years of experience in international trade banking operations at Standard Chartered Bank. Ms. Wong earned an M.B.A. from Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a B.S. in Finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

BRYON ROSEN

Internal Advisory Consultant

Mr. Rosen is an Internal Advisory Consultant in the Institutional Division responsible for the internal activities for the Southern region. He joined Genter Capital Management as a Marketing Associate in the Institutional Division responsible for marketing materials, RFPs, Questionnaires, RFIs and Performance Reporting, and has since been promoted to his current position. Mr. Rosen earned a B.S. in Management followed by an M.B.A. in finance from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.

NICHOLAS WALKER

Internal Advisory Consultant

Mr. Walker is an Internal Advisory Consultant in the Institutional Division responsible for the internal activities for the Southern region. Prior to Genter Capital, Mr. Walker spent 2 years in retail banking. Mr. Walker earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Southern California.

TYSON MERCER

Internal Advisory Consultant 

Mr. Mercer is an Internal Advisory Consultant in the Institutional Division responsible for internal activities for the Mountain West region. He Joined Genter Capital Management as a Marketing Associate in the Institutional Division responsible for marketing materials, RFPs, Questionnaires, RFIs and Performance Reporting, and has since transitioned to his current position. Prior to Genter Capital, he worked at Wells Fargo supporting financial analysts and portfolio managers in the Alternative Investment Management group. Mr. Mercer received a B.A. in Philosophy from California State University of Long Beach.

TAYLOR R. RUDNICK, CFA

Vice President, Portfolio Manager

Mr. Rudnick is Vice President, Portfolio Manager. Mr. Rudnick joined Genter Capital Management in 2005 as a Marketing Associate. He moved to the Fixed Income department in 2006 as a Portfolio Manager Assistant, and was promoted to Assistant Portfolio Manager in 2009 and to Portfolio Manager in 2010. In 2013, he was promoted to his current position. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. Rudnick worked as a Financial Services Representative with E-Trade Financial, Inc. Mr. Rudnick earned a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

MARK RAMIREZ

Portfolio Manager Assistant

Mr. Ramirez is a Portfolio Manager assistant in the taxable fixed income department. He joined Genter Capital in 2022 as a Data Analyst and Marketing Associate in the Institutional Division and has since been promoted to his current position. Where he is responsible in assisting portfolio managers & traders with daily maintenance, enhancement of taxable portfolios and preparing client investment reports. Mr. Ramirez earned a B.S. in Business Administration from California State Polytechnic Univeristy, Pomona.

DANIEL CHIANG

Portfolio Manager Assistant

Mr. Chiang joined Genter Capital in 2014 in the Operations department as a Performance Analyst, responsible for Composites performance metrics and compliance in accordance to Global Investment Performance Standards. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Chiang worked at the Bank of New York Mellon in various positions, including Fixed Income portfolio administrator and tax reporting for foreign and domestic investors. Chiang received his B.A. from the University of California at Irvine and MBA from the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business & Management.

DAVID PESCHERINE, CFA

Senior Vice President, Director of Equity

First Vice President, Equity Portfolio Manager

Mr. Warner is First Vice President, Equity Portfolio Manager and a member of both the Equity Strategy Group and Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Warner joined Genter Capital Management in 2000 as an Associate Portfolio Manager in the Equity Department. He later became Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager in 2002; Vice President, Portfolio Manager in 2004 and was promoted to his current position in 2008. Prior to Genter Capital, he was an associate in the portfolio management and research department at Churchill Management Group. Mr. Warner earned his M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Arizona. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

JOHN AREGE, CFA

First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst, Portfolio Manager

Mr. Arege joins Genter Capital as First Vice President, Financial Sector Analyst, and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Large Cap Core and Value strategies. He is also a member of the Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining Genter Capital he served as an Adjunct Professor, Finance at New York University. In addition, he was the Managing Director, Portfolio Manager, and Co-Head of Core and Value Equities at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Arege worked as a Senior Equity Fund Analyst for Merrill Lynch and as a Research Analyst at Standard & Poor’s. He earned a B.A. in Accounting and Financial Management from The Catholic University of America, a J.D. from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law School, and an M.S. in Banking and Financial Services from Boston University. He is a CFA Charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of New York, as well as a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and a licensed attorney in New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.

DAVID P. KLATT, CFA

First Vice President, Equity Portfolio Manager

Mr. Klatt is First Vice President, Equity Portfolio Manager and a member of the Investment Policy Committee. He began his investment career at Genter Capital Management in 1999 as a Marketing Assistant. In 2000 he joined the firm’s equity department where he was promoted to Portfolio Manager Assistant. He received various promotions over his tenure in the department and in 2013 he assumed his current position as First Vice President, Portfolio Manager. Mr. Klatt earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

MARK HARDING, CFA

First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst

Mr. Harding joined Genter Capital in 2017 as First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. Harding was a Portfolio Manager and Equity Analyst at Value Architects Asset Management for 4 years. Prior to joining VAAM, he spent 12 years covering Technology Media and Telecom companies as a sell-side analyst at Citigroup, Maxim Group, and JMP Securities. During this time, he presented at numerous investment conferences about the direction of technology and media. He earned a B.B.A. and M.B.A in Finance from the University of Miami (FL), and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

GLEN NAM, CFA

First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst

Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. Nam served a 7-year tenure as an Equity Research Associate with Capital International covering the Energy and Retail sectors. He also worked for Bank of America as an Associate in their Corporate Finance group. He earned a B.A. in Economics in 1998 from the University of California at Berkeley. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

SAMANTHA HALL

First VP, Head of Equity Trading

Ms. Hall is Associate Vice President, Equity Trader and a member of the Brokerage Oversight Committee. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hall was a Trade Analyst at Hotchkis & Wiley. She also worked at Tradewinds Global Investors as an Assistant Vice President, Institutional Trading Assistant and Market Data Analyst. Ms. Hall received her BS in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego.

LAURA MCGUIGAN, CFA

First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst

Ms. McGuigan is First Vice President, Equity Securities Analyst. Prior to joining Genter Capital in 2012, she spent two years as a sell side Senior Analyst at B. Riley, covering life science and diagnostic companies. Prior to B. Riley, she served a thirteen year tenure at Transamerica Investment Management (known as Westcap Investors prior to 2005), during which time she became a principal of the firm and served in various capacities, most recently as a senior analyst covering the healthcare sector. She earned a B.A. in Business from the University of Central England and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

JOHN CAMPAGNOLO, CFA

Equity Securities Analyst

Mr. Campagnolo joined Genter Capital Management in 2022 as a Securities Analyst, specializing in the Financial Industry and REITs. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. Campagnolo was a Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst at Trust Company of the West for 13 years. In his nearly 30-year career he has worked as an Analyst for both Lehman Brothers and American Express. He earned a B.S. in accounting from University of Southern California and a M.B.A from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

STEVE MCNEIL, CPA

Equity Securities Analyst

Mr. McNeil joined Genter Capital Management in 2022 as a Securities Analyst, specializing in Industrials and Materials. Prior to joining Genter Capital, Mr. McNeil was a Vice President and member of the Advisory Team at Corbin Advisors. Prior to joining Corbin, he spent 4 years in Abu Dhabi with Abu Dubai Investment Authority as a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Internal Equities Department. He has worked for over 20 years as a financial and equities analyst, spending a decade with Jennison Associates. He earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University and M.B.A. from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College

Mr. Vaughn joined Genter Capital Management in 2023 as a Securities Analyst, specializing in the Healthcare industry and Consumer Staples.  He started his equity research career on the sell side holding positions at Banc of America Securities, Robert W. Baird, and Edward Jones & Company. Most recently he was a Senior Investment Analyst with Great Lakes Advisors, after spending nine years at Mid-Continent Capital.  He earned his BS degree in Finance at Illinois State University and his MBA degree from Indiana University.  He holds the CFA charter, the CPA designation, and the CFP designation.  He is a member of the CFA Institute and the AICPA.

Mr. Heymann joined Genter in 2016 as Vice President, Securities Analyst and is a member of the Equity Strategy and Investment Policy Committees. Prior to joining Genter, Mr. Heymann was previously an Equity Research Analyst within PIMCO’s Global Equity Dividend Strategy. Prior to PIMCO, he spent four years within Neuberger Berman’s central Equity Research Department, covering Utilities, Power & Midstream Energy, and Master Limited Partnerships. Mr. Heymann began his career on the sell side as part of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Metals & Mining equity research team. He earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Miami (FL).

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer

Mr. Gutierrez is Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the Executive Management and Brokerage Oversight Committees. Before joining Genter Capital Management in 1984, Mr. Gutierrez was a CPA and Senior Staff Member in the Audit Division at Arthur Andersen & Company. He also served as both Vice President and Treasurer of Asia Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of US Industries, N.Y. Mr. Gutierrez earned a B.S.C. from the Philippine College of Commerce and attended the La Salle Graduate School of Business. Additionally, Mr. Gutierrez is a Certified Management Accountant, and an active member of both the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the California Society of CPAs.

JOHN BARRY

Senior Vice President,  Operations

Mr. Barry is Senior Vice President, Operations, and a member of the Executive Management and Brokerage Oversight Committees. He began his career in 1989 with Great Western Bank and was promoted to the Financial Securities division, where he generalized in fund administration and specialized in executive stock options and account adjustments. He went on to manage Internet trading and web development teams for a Los Angeles-based brokerage firm, then assumed direction of the firm’s correspondent clearing department. In 2003 he joined Genter in Operations, eventually managing RNC’s growing SMA department. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2011, Vice President in 2013, First Vice President in 2017, and his current role in 2021.

Director of Creative Marketing

Mrs. Genter is Director of Creative Marketing at Genter Capital Management. As Director of Creative Marketing, Mrs. Genter is responsible for branding the company name. Her role reaches many different fields such as creating marketing and digital media content, overseeing press appearances, creation and development of the company magazine, creating team development events and producing events. Before assuming her position at Genter Capital Management, she worked in the field of high profile real estate including international transactions and international business development. Her university studies are in Peru in Business Management and Communication Science.

Mr. Demshki is Senior Vice President, Director of Private Client Division, and a member of the Executive Management Committee. Mr. Demshki joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 1995 with over 15 years of industry experience. He began his financial services career in 1980 with Coldwell Banker where he became Vice President. He then joined Sanford C. Bernstein & Company as a Financial Advisor. Mr. Demshki earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
